About the Area
Whilst established in Sunnybank Hills our area extends to all the adjoining and nearby suburbs and we have had our share of international fame. In 1982 the Commonwealth Games were held in nearby Nathan at the QE11 stadium home now to Queensland’s academy of sport. Who can forget Matilda the huge model kangaroo parading around the stadium with those huge eye lashes winking mischievously. Neighbouring the stadium is Griffith University Nathan & Mt Gravatt Campus. This area is home to numerous sporting clubs including Aussie Rules, Rugby, Hockey, Cricket, and Swimming. Netball is very well catered for as are numerous other clubs and interests. We have an active theatre group, special Bingo Club, senior’s activities and a whole host of activities for all.
Garden City and the Logan Hyperdome & Carindale Shopping Centre well service the area along with numerous Coles, Woolworths, K Mart, Audi sprinkled throughout the suburbs. Add to this the fact that the CBD is just 15kms away and you will agree we’re well catered for.
Being a multicultural community it abounds in mouth watering eateries covering every imaginable taste and a price that will suit every pocket.
The area is generally the cross road to points N.S.E&W and links up with expressways to the Gold & Sunshine Coasts, West to Toowoomba and beyond or East 20 minutes to the Bayside.
